This graduate course explored fundamental theories, concepts, and principles for describing, arranging, and classifying information-bearing resources. The course was designed to provide a broad foundation in knowledge organization theory and approahces in a variety of domains that illustrate practices in libraries, archives, digital repositories, metadata and data management, and taxonomy.
